United Services seeks a dedicated, experienced Director of Development to join our team. The Director of Development is responsible for increasing awareness and funding for the organization within the community and with private, state, and federal funders. The Development Director will play a crucial role in grant writing, including researching grant opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals to acquire funding, building advocacy, and building and cultivating long-term relationships with grant providers. Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of five years senior communications experience including marketing, public relations, and staff management. Minimum of five years experience in fundraising, grant development and management, and corporate relations.

  • Excellent writing skills to support grant development, corporate communications and materials. Attention to detail in application preparation and submission.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required. Group and public speaking skills required.
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels of skill and responsibility in an organization. Experience with team work at departmental and organizational level.

Computer applications knowledge and experience (word processing, spreadsheets, CRM database management, etc.). Collaborative work style and experience desired.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexibility needed for events)
