Parent Education Program
The Parent Education Program provides classes to court ordered individuals involved in divorce or separation family relation court proceedings.
Individuals are required to attend class for total of 6 hours to receive a signed certificate of completion.
At each class, Group Facilitators will present material that addresses issues and concerns parents may have regarding the impact of divorce or separation on the family. Classes are available in both English and Spanish. There is no child care provided. To view PEP brochure, click here.

- The impact on children and the changes within the family
- Information on the developmental stages of children
- Dispute and conflict management
- Guidelines for custody and visitation

Participation & Registration
Parents involved in family court proceedings are ordered to participate in the Parent Education Program. Participation requires registration and a program fee. Payment must be made prior to attending class. Payment is non-refundable, alternative class options will be provided as needed. If the fee presents a financial hardship, individuals may apply to the court for a fee waiver. (The waiver must be approved by the court prior to attending the class).
All participants are advised to register before attending a class. After you register you will receive a letter or email confirmation with additional information, including the dates that you are registered to attend the classes and documentation requirements.

Parenting Education Program (PEP) class is held at our Mansfield location on the second Saturday of each month and at our Dayville location on the 4th Saturday of each month (dates may vary due to holidays, please see dates listed in registration). Parenting Education class is held from 8:00 am-3:00 pm.
If you believe you are unable to pay or indigent, complete and submit form JD-FM-75, Application for Waiver of Fees/ Appointment of Counsel Family before attending the program.
