Description:
United Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Psychiatrist, Child Services and Adolescent Services to work at its mental health clinics at 1007 North Main Street, Dayville, CT 06241 and 140 North Frontage Road, Mansfield Center, CT 06250.
Job duties: Work on interdisciplinary team providing outpatient psychiatric services including evaluations, risk assessments, diagnosis, and indicated treatment to child and adolescent patients; function as a medication education and risk management resource for clinical, case management and rehabilitation staff; provide clinical leadership to Child and Adolescent Services staff, including review and approval of diagnostic formulations and treatment plans; provide psychiatric services under employer’s contracts as required, including to the state’s departments of mental health and addiction services, children and families, social services, public health and its court support services division; provide evening, weekend, and holiday call coverage proportionate to other psychiatric staff; maintain accurate and timely documentation using employer’s electronic medical record system; attend trainings, meetings and participate in committees, as required.
Minimum Requirements: a U.S. M.D. degree or its foreign equivalent; completion of a three-year residency in Psychiatry; board eligibility or certification in Psychiatry; possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license and unrestricted Federal and State narcotic registrations to prescribe scheduled drugs of class I, II, III, IV, V; unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and managed care plans as designated by employer and to obtain and maintain professional liability insurance of $1,000,000 to $3,000,000.
