Description:

United Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Youth Substance Prevention Coordinator to make a direct impact in the lives of children, families, and adults with social and behavioral health needs. The Youth Substance Prevention Coordinator will establish and implement a Strategic Prevention Framework in identified communities, including managing a community prevention coalition. The right candidate will have experience and knowledge of community resources and behavioral health treatment systems, as well as working knowledge of health promotion and wellness curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Preferably, the Coordinator will have health promotion experience in health plans and/or worksite settings. As a Youth Substance Prevention Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our mission of “Creating Healthy Communities” by providing top-notch care and support to the youth in Northeastern Connecticut.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am –5:00 pm (Flexibility Required)

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in health education, community/public health, human resources or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Certified Prevention Specialist designation or willingness to work toward obtaining this designation.
Salary Range:
  • $18.54 – $20.98 per hour
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred) $19.48 – $22.04 per hour
